College Entrance Exams

 

 

You may use CAASPP and ACT test scores to determine your EAP status. It is used to measure students' readiness for college-level English and mathematics in their junior year.  Based on test scores, a student could be exempt from taking the EPT and/or ELM at CSUs or UCs, not Los Rios. They determine eligibility to enroll in in specific courses.

PSAT/NMSQT is the practice SAT that gives juniors a chance to qualify for the National Merit competition.  (Read more about National Merit here). You'll take the PSAT on a Wednesday Oct 11th at 8:00am in the Student Union. (Please see Patty Braun in the front office) to pay the $15 by check or cash. Payment is due by 9/29 to reserve a a spot.   Results will be given early in December.
 
Juniors and Seniors: If you are going to a 4-year college directly after high school please ensure that you register to take the SAT and ACT tests.     Check here or the Career Center for test dates.  If you've take the SAT in August most scores are available now.  Go to:  https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/
